Melior rescues the legacy and winemaking tradition of the Ribera del Duero by making this wine with grapes of the Albillo Mayor variety.
This grape, delicate and with great personality, is the result of the recovery of vineyards with little presence but great prominence in the Ribera. We are dealing with a variety that barely has 500 hectares planted, just over 2% of the appellation's vineyard area.
For the elaboration of this wine, attention has been paid to even the smallest detail, highlighting its careful and meticulous fermentation in new soft-toasted French oak barrels for 4 months. In this vintage, Melior de Matarromera Albillo has a limited production of only 12 barrels.
