Melior de Matarromera 9 months is a very elegant wine marked by the terroir and oenological knowledge. For this wine, plots of their own vineyards have been selected that contribute their personality and character, betting on the limestone soils of the municipality of Valbuena de Duero (Valladolid) and the height of the town of Villanueva de Gumiel (Burgos). This coupage achieves a sweet and fresh wine, but at the same time very persistent and sophisticated where the temperament of the Tempranillo grape is the true protagonist.
After a meticulous selection of the grapes, a delicate winemaking process begins where the aim is to preserve the expression of the Tempranillo and link it with the nuances of its aging. This takes place for 9 months in oak barrels (40% French and 60% American) from different cooperages to achieve the complexity that defines this wine.
• Visual phase: a medium-high layer with purple tones.
• Olfactory phase: intense and reminiscent of fleshy summer fruits such as strawberries, currants or cherries. Background of toffee and soft touches of cloves and coffee.
• Gustatory phase: voluminous and unctuous. Rich acidity with a rough and fresh skeleton of lively tannins that give the wine nerve and finesse.
