A family rooted in the land
In order to understand the present and the future of Matarromera, we must take a look at the past. A past that takes us to Carlos Moro's
family and to the legacy it left him, passing down all the knowledge and love for the vineyard from generation to generation.
Valle del Duero
In the municipality of Valbuena de Duero, in Valladolid. The Ribera del Duero area is formed by an ancient, levelled bedrock covered
in tertiary and quaternary sediments around most of the basin.
Bodega Matarromera sits on privileged land. The vineyards are sheltered by the Duero Valley, between the municipalities of
Olivares and Valbuena de Duero, where Matarromera makes its wines, vintage after vintage.
Matarromera Essence is the result of the enthusiasm, commitment, and patience of its creator Carlos Moro. In his words:
'Wineries have to be flexible, dynamic and modern companies, but without losing the essence of what we have treasured all through our lives'.
