Bodega Matarromera has received a new international accolade. Matarromera Prestigio Pago de las Solanas 2016 has been awarded 95 points in the September issue of WEIN+MARKT, making it the highest-scoring wine among all those featured in the German publication’s extensive report on Ribera del Duero.

Under the title “Spitzenweine, die in jedes Regal gehören” — “Outstanding wines that deserve a place on every shelf” — the magazine explores the distinctive character of a wine region shaped by extreme climatic conditions, diverse soils and significant variations in vineyard altitude.

Within this context, Matarromera Prestigio Pago de las Solanas 2016 stands out in the “Rotweine aus alten Rebstöcken” category, dedicated to red wines from old vines, where it receives 95 points, the highest rating awarded to any of the wines included in the feature.
